Day 1

ARRIVAL - HANOI  (Meals: None)

On arrival at Noi Bai airport.

You will meet and transfer to hotel. Hanoi, Vietnam's capital is a stylish and gracious city that retains an unique old world charm and some Asia’s most striking colonial architecture.

If time permit we enjoy a short cyclo excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale!

Overnight in Hanoi. 

Day 2

HANOI - HA LONG BAY ( B )

This morning we spend a half-day city tour of Hanoi with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the Mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh (close on Monday), the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts.

The complex also comprises with One Pillar Pagoda whose origins date back to the foundation of Hanoi.

We continue our trip to the Temple of Literature well known as Vietnam’s first university and the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem before we depart for Halong bay, the truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights.

Day 3

HA LONG - HANOI  ( B/L )

This morning we embark on a boat for an impressive cruise to explore the legendary Halong bay.

This exciting four hour cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 1,696 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water.

The limestone karts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves.

After a seafood lunch on board we return to Hanoi, stopping en route at Dong Trieu pottery village.

We arrive Hanoi on time to see an evening performance of Hanoi's famous water puppets.

Overnight  in Hanoi. 

Day 4

HANOI - HUE   ( B )

There is a free time in Hanoi until transfer to Noibai Airport for a short flight to Hue,  Vietnam’s last feudal capital.

This small and quiet city is widely known for magnificent architectures, pagodas and royal tombs laid in many small villages and surrounding hills.

We spend this afternoon to visit Hue with the massive citadel, containing the Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden City.

This Royal Residence was destroyed during the 1968 Tet Offensive, however it is still fascinating to walk among the ruins.

Then we return to the town and take a walk to the Dong Ba Market that sells a wide variety of local goods and handicrafts.

Day 5

HUE - HOI AN   ( B ) 

This morning we will embark on a Dragon boat for an impressive cruise to visit the beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda riverside which now becomes the symbol of Hue and the elaborate royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc.

Upon leaving Hue we drive south to Hoian, which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down the centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures.

The scenic road is hugging the coastline before crossing over the winding Hai Van pass.

A view from the top of the pass is one of Vietnam’s most impressive panoramic scenes.

We stop en route to visit the Cham Museum in Danang City, the My Khe Beach and the Marble Mountain, whose peaks represent the five elements of the universe.

Day 6

 EXPLORE HOI AN   ( B )

Let’s spend our full day visiting the town of Hoi An today.

Together with our guide in Hoian, we’ll walk over the tile-roofed Japanese Bridge, visit taciturn Chinese Assembly Halls, visit ancient houses, pagodas and stroll into the vibrant market located by Thu Bon river, where we may find out the same feelings of the artists, who see the rooftops of Hoi An a magical old world of Oriental feel and source of inspiration.

This is also a wonderful town to shop for lanterns, soft silk, raw silk, or get your clothes tailored within a day.

Afternoon is free time for you to do an optional tour by boat to a small ceramic village in Thu Bon River, or cycling with our guide 4km from the ancient town to Cua Dai (the “Big Beach”) to relax. Dinner at your own arrangement.

Day 7

HOI AN - DA NANG - HO CHI MINH   ( B )

An early morning transfer to Da Nang airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh.

The sightseeing tour of Ho Chi Minh City begins with the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Sai Gon Post Office and the War Remnant Museum before continuing to the bustling Ben Thanh Market where handy craft, laquer ware and more on sales!

Day 8

HO CHI MINH - TAY NINH - CU CHI TUNNELS - HO CHI MINH  ( B )

The head quarter of Cao Dai sect is located in Tay Ninh, this religion was founded in 1923 and now numbers over 2 million members.

After breakfast we travel by roads to Tay Ninh to see the ornate temple of Cao Dai attend the fantastic mid-day service when the followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.

Afterwards we continue to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which were an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence.

The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Viet Cong in the American war.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh. 

Day 9

HO CHI MINH - MEKONG DELTA - HO CHI MINH ( B/L )

Heading out of the town, we travel by road to My Tho province.

Arriving My Tho we embark on a boat navigating around the small canals in the Mekong delta, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up.

We pass through the lush green vegetation to an orchard where opportunities to visit various fascinating local industries.

After feasting on a huge lunch followed with seasonal fruits, we return to Ho Chi Minh for overnight.

Day 10

HO CHI MINH - DEPARTURE  ( B )

There is a free time to relax or further explore Ho Chi Minh.

The trip ends after your transfer to Tan San Nhat Airport for departure.
